Welcome to our new themed 2019 weekend, All Things Disney! Come this Memorial Day weekend dressed up in all your Disney character finery as we have a fantastic time starting off our 2019 summer camping season with YOU!
Come enjoy the grand opening of our huge warm pool, waterslide($) and tubing on the Namekagon river($)
Spark up your creativity with Artistic Jamboree! Have a wonderful time in personalizing your very own Tie-Dye t-shirt ($) or joining in on the games and DJ Dancing.
Have a high ol’ time at Country Carnival! Bring the family to enjoy face painting, balloon animals, games, prizes and more for this boredom-busting weekend. We even hold three-legged and potato-sack races! Pretty cool, huh?
Prepare yourselves for a time-of-your-life occasion at the Hayward KOA. We have a chocolate pudding eating contest, candy bar bingo and, get ready, a 50-foot chocolate slip ‘n’ slide! We love chocolate and go all out for this special occasion by also bringing in a mouth-watering arrangement of chocolate ice cream, so get CHOCOLATIZED!
We are tipping our hats off to H2O this weekend with Under the Sea! All ages are invited to come and have a great time with our crafts, games, outdoor cinema, and DJ Dancing. While you are here, you can also go down our water slide, jump in our 80,000-gallon pool, or relax with a tube trip down the Namekagon River. Also, downtown Hayward hosts it's 70th annual Musky Festival with Grand Parade, live music and more!
This weekend we are celebrating the military in all forms. So bring your camo or military gear and have some fun here at the Hayward KOA!
Don your bonnets/hats and pack up your covered wagon to head on over to the Hayward KOA as we have our Pioneer Days weekend! Don't forget the many locations in the local area that will be setting off fireworks and celebrating while we also make a fun-filled time for our campers here at the campground!
Santa Claus is coming to town (or at least to the Hayward KOA)! "Trim" your site with ornaments for our Site Decorating Contest, have Breakfast with Santa, or just give him a warm "hello" and tell him how good you've tried to be this year. It'll be a wonderful time filled with games for your family to enjoy! Also, Spooner puts on a show with their 66th annual professional rodeo!
RROOAARR!! It's the Jurassic Age! We're celebrating our fossilized friends this weekend as we have our fantastic activities plus a special science craft to take home and enjoy! So pack your camper and stomp this way before your site is gone!
Ahoy campers! Grab your eye patch and hook to explore the seas of entertainment with a scavenger hunt or sail by the field for games and a movie. Want to tone it down a bit? Have a relaxing canoe trip down the river or swing by our new garden seating area near the Red Pine Express!

It's a bird! No, it's a plane! No, it's our campers! Our craft and games will be sure to bring a smile to your face as all ages show their superhuman abilities. Get your fill of summer with a dip in the pool, a trip down the river, or a lawn chair by your campfire!
Make the Hayward KOA your last "hurrah" before school is in session! October can be pretty chilly so we are bringing the fun sooner with our haunted house, spooky fun time, trick-or-treating, costume & site decorating contests. We can't pack this theme into an ordinary weekend so we've extended the activities to three days of fun! It'll be a time for great memories so book early before your site is gone!
One of the “don't miss” events in northern Wisconsin area. Our Staff provides a Spaghetti Dinner for the Racers on Friday Night that will get them off to a strong and fast start!!! The Chequamegon Fat Tire Race is on Saturday. It is a site that words cannot describe, 2500+ bikes start the race down the main street of Hayward.
Schools are back in session, and autumn is here to stay, but don’t fret, since we’re all smiles here at the KOA! Come to enjoy a relaxing time at our campground — not only to see nature’s display of beautiful colors but also to check out what Hayward has to offer at their Fall Festival. Afterward, come back and cherish the warmth of the fire and the whispering winds through the trees.
Originally established as a cross-country ski trail, the American Birkebeiner Trail is still the site of the classic ski race. It has also become a summertime fitness and recreational trail system catering to skiers, runners, bikers, trekkers, and hikers – from casual day-trippers to elite superstars. Put this on your calendar if you want to run at a recreational pace or hammer it on a great trail.
Enjoy vendor fare, craft beer, live music and more at the 8th annual Birkie Trail Run.

The Hayward Lakes Area welcomes anglers of all ages to fish over 50,000 acres of glacial lakes and rivers of Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.
The forest contains over 2,000 miles of streams and 607 lakes to pursue world-class musky, trout, panfish and bass.
After checking out the fishing, be sure to stop by the Fishing Hall of Fame in Hayward!
